The God of All Comfort

If you haven't heard already, Steven Curtis Chapman has been on the Focus on the Family broadcasts for the past two days, with the final installment scheduled for airing tommorrow. As I listened, I marveled again at the amazing testimony of this family. I can't imagine their grief and pain right now, yet in the midst of it all, God has supernaturally given them the ability to communicate the Hope of the Gospel in profound ways to the watching world. God has spoken Truth through them, and I pray that their example of faith would lead many others to Christ.

This link should take you to the Focus on the Family page, where you can listen in to the first two broadcasts. Check back for the third tommorrow. Also, I highly recommend that you scroll down on the page and check out a previous session (under the subheading "recent broadcasts") with Steven Curtis Chapman on adoption. It is an amazing message and I hope will be of inspiration to you! As many of you know, when the Chapmans open their mouths to speak on adoption and orphan care, amazing and powerful truths and testimonies are always shared. You are sure to be challenged and inspired. Enjoy!

Hi Annie...

I was catching up on your blog today. Thank you for sharing the link about the Stephen Curtis Chapman interview on Focus on the Family. I am going to listen to it tonight with the girls. My heart hurt for them as I watched them on the Larry King Live show. Such grief, and yet the Lord is using them to spread hope and HIS love to so many. I hope we can be trusted to be such worthy mouthpieces in the midst of our great joys and sorrows. Thank you for being the mouthpiece of hope for orphans through your blog. You are doing what the Lord has laid in front of you for today. Keep looking around for what HE has for you each day. That is my goal for this next week... to seek Jesus and HIS will every day, and not get bogged down in the details which take up each day. I trust you will be able to do the same in the midst of your busy college schedule. Here is a cyber-hug, sweet Annie. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
Much love, Aunt Alison

Hey Annie,
Thanks for stopping by to see my blog! I absolutely love it when people leave comments!

I, my Mama, and my sisters have always wanted to adopt but Daddy and lil bro's were hesitant about it all and it didn't ever seem like God was saying, "Here is your child/children. Bring them home." But, we have some cousin's who have adopted from Ethiopia and Ghana and the two little boys that they have adopted have from Ghana have a little sis and bro in Ghana and they tried to adopt them but they were told no and that was when it seemed as though God was saying, "Hey, these little ones are for you!" HE then changed Daddy's heart and so, we started! Please keep our adoption in your prayers if you feel lead because there is still much waiting to do but most of the paper work is done!! PRAISE GOD!!! I have the most efficient Mama and Daddy who start something and get it done!

I hope that here soon we can post pics of our soon to be new lil sis and bro.!

Stephen Curtis Chapman and his family are so amazing! We will keep them in our prayers and especially the oldest brother.

I hope that you come to see me again soon! I am on my way to do a new post!

Sincerely,
Joy.
