Summer Palace

Also while in China, we stopped by the old Summer Palace north of Beijing. It was a blistering hot day, and there were MOBS of people, but we enjoyed seeing the intricate Chinese architecture and learning new factoids of Chinese history. We were SO blessed to be able to see so many sights in China!

Despite the heat, Kaisha and I climbed to the very top of this temple. We weren't at all interested to see the Buddha at the top, but the view looking down on the city was amazing!

Kunming Lake (a man-made lake covering most of the Summer Palace grounds) was full of paddle boats and cool dragon boats like this one. We got to ride one across the water and back...fun!

We're hot, sticky, and exhausted, but we're IN CHINA!!! :)
