Touring around Tienanmen

Also while in Ch*na, we took an opportunity to see Tienanmen Square and the nearby Forbidden City (where the emperors used to sequester themselves from the general public to live lavishly and rule privately). It was amazing to see the incredible history of these two great sights. Tienanmen Square was my personal favorite of the two, being the world's largest square, but also a place so monumental in Ch*na's history. As we strolled over the squares of concrete, looking up to see the National Museum of Ch*na and the building where Mao's embalmed body is still on display, I was in awe to think of the many Ch*nese people who died in that very spot, fighting for freedom and human rights. While my own country's fight for independence and democratic rule ended successfully, the Ch*nese people are still denied many rights and liberties, and I pray that they too will one day be granted the freedom to live and worship as they choose and experience the same blessings of liberty which we are so privileged to have in America.
