Here She Is

Here are the pictures of little Margaret in the outfit I recently sent her (see post "Packed and Ready to Go"), fresh in from Philip Hayden sponsorship coordinator, Desiray Christen. This is my very favorite part of sending packages to my sponsor child---getting to see them wearing the clothes and playing with the toys I've picked out. I love being able to see those things travel halfway across the globe and then be used by a little child in need like precious Margaret. It is truly a joy, and I would encourage anyone who sponsors a child to consider sending a gift to your own little boy or girl. Not only will you be blessing that child, but also yourself, for it is truly "more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35b). I don't know how God does it sometimes, but He often has a way of turning around our own humble and insignificant means of blessing others to bless us in the process. It is amazing!

For those of you who do send gifts to your sponsor child(ren), I would love to hear your ideas. What have you found is particularly meaningful to send? Thank you!

She's adorable, Annie - especially in that pink color! Great choice! You've sent her some love long distance! She looks old enough for a board book, or even a soft cover book which would be less expensive to send.
