Change to bring Change

The excitement of this week for me is anticipating Saturday night at the state fair, when I'll be able to see SCC rock the house for the second time this year (how great is that?). If any of you are so fortunate as to be able to hear him live in the near future, I wanted to be sure you knew about the "Change for Orphans" campaign he has been promoting at his concerts lately. The idea is this: concert-goers collect their pennies, nickles, and quarters, and then bring them to the concert, where Shaohannah's Hope staff will be standing by with buckets to receive the change. The money is tallied up and at the end of the evening, a local family is awarded with an adoption grant from the donations of the evening. In a May concert I attended, SCC actually called a family onstage to present them with their grant. Pictures I took from that can be seen above. It is so incredible to be able to give money, even if it's only five dollars or so of change, and then to see the local family who is so blessed by the combined generosity of concert attenders. At the concert I attended, around $4000 was raised just through small donations that people gave that evening. So, if you're headed out to see SCC soon, don't forget to first empty the jingling pockets of yourself, your friends, and your family. Give change and change an orphan's life forever.

Because Giving a Little Changes A Lot.
