Inklings of a New Generation

My friend Kaisha recently introduced me to a neat young lady named Alex, whom she met through the Rebelution (http://www.therebelution.com/). As I have gotten to know Alex over email the past few weeks, I have been so inspired by her vision to care for the least of these. Alex has an incredible dream of starting an orphanage and ministering to needy children with Christ-centered love. You can find out more about her project on her blog (http://www.compassiongeneration.blogspot.com/), but meanwhile, I would encourage you all to lift her up in prayer when you think of it. Pray that she (and the many others who are dreaming big of serving God and orphans) would be blessed in her efforts, and that, borrowing the encouragement of a friend to me recently, no power of man would ever put out the fire she has for orphans. Pray that God would give her wisdom as she steps in the direction of her goal, and perserverance in the work He has called her to. And finally, pray that God would continue to raise up young people like Alex who have a passion to care for orphans and spread the Hope they have in Jesus around the globe. Alex and many others are starting the rumble of a new generation, one that is committed to seeking justice and loving mercy for Christ's sake. Will you join us in making this rumble a roar?
